When Michigan resident Ian Rice discovered that his children’s school district had adopted Critical Race Theory as the foundation for its academia, he knew it was time to stand up and fight. As such, he seized the opportunity to address the school board directly over its policy decision.

“My name’s Ian Rice. I’ve got two children here at Caledonia School District,” he began. “It’s very apparent by all the parents that have spoken that this board and the school district is failing. More importantly, I came here to talk about Critical Race Theory.”

Any good father would go to war if they believed their child was suffering at the hands of another. While this is more often the case when it comes to physical abuse, countless children across the nation are being emotionally damaged by the propaganda that is Critical Race Theory.

Rice explained that CRT was intended for college-level education and isn’t structured for primary or secondary school because it was meant to serve as a theoretical racial lens through which government institutions are dissected.

“The problem with bringing it to high school and grade school level is that we don’t have the educators to properly teach these kids. Instead, they’re using it as their own agenda to indoctrinate the kids to hate each other. And whether you believe that to be true or not, reality is that’s what’s happening,” he said.

After summarizing the objective of CRT, Rice used his own bi-racial daughter as an example of how the concept would directly injure children by poisoning their worldview with racial prejudice.

“Critical Race Theory is teaching that white people are bad. That’s not true. That would teach my daughter that her mother is evil,” he explained.

Rice revealed a disturbing event at the school that left his daughter confused and hurt. He says that during an altercation between his daughter and another student, a teacher racially stereotyped his child.

“You already have an educator within your staff that has pulled my daugther aside and said, ‘Well, you’re a minority, so you know better than to engage in certain things.’ When I was brought to the school detention, nothing happened to the educator. Instead, my daughter was brought in and she was ridiculed.”

Rice then asked the board which entitlement and qualification teachers have to instruct children on issues that have nothing to do with academics and everything to do with politics.

“So, my question is now, with Critical Race Theory being brought in: what is your criteria to educate the educators? And who are you to educate my children or any of our children that in life issues? That’s our job. Your job is to teach them math and science. Our job is to teach them about life.”

To thunderous applause, Rice ended his lecture by demanding that the board stop judging him and his children by the color of their skin and see them as human beings.

“I believe racial issues and tensions across the U.S. are nowhere near where they used to be decades ago,” he concluded. “Do we have a long way to go? Sure. Do we still have individuals out there who could be taught? Absolutely. I believe the people here don’t look at me as a black man. They look at me as a man standing in front of you addressing the issue that we all are very passionate about.”

Rice later spoke to Fox News to make it clear that teachers need to stop focusing on social issues because they are failing students academically and overstepping their boundaries.

“All they’re going to do is continue to draw racial lines and try and create those wedges and walls higher and higher. It’s not a good idea to teach kids to look at different issues through the lens of race in these school settings,” he said.

Rice is just one of many parents who is deeply concerned about CRT and has already seen its effects on his children. However, he is one of the very few people who are speaking out and confronting the educators pushing harmful curriculum.

Children have no power and are at the mercy of their teachers. If we want this indoctrination to stop, we can start by voting out these school officials, electing like-minded individuals, speaking out at school board meetings, and running for positions within the district.
