After being “canceled,” Roseanne Barr said she was done caring what the Hollywood crowd thinks and refused to “go away quietly.” Barr took on her critics and had a few harsh words for them. She didn’t pull any punches.

Roseanne Barr found herself targeted by “cancel culture” in 2018 after she had just rebooted her hit classic sitcom, Roseanne. When Barr fired off a tweet about former Obama Administration advisor Valerie Jarret, some called it racist. She was dropped from the ABC reboot and show business altogether, the Daily Mail reported.

Barr described getting “canceled” by those “woke” individuals during her special on Fox Nation. “They didn’t do it to anyone else in Hollywood, although they always [mention] Dave Chappelle and Louis C.K.,” she said. “Well, Louis C.K. did lose everything, but he committed an actual [offense]. And Dave Chappelle was protected by Netflix.”

“I’m the only person who’s lost everything, whose life’s work was stolen, stolen by people who I thought loved me. And there was silence,” she continued. “There was no one in Hollywood really defending me publicly.” Barr also mocked gender identity and pronouns. “These people, they have no concept of reality. They’ve been living in a bubble forever. Asking questions have nothing to do with the real world,” she said. “‘What is my gender, mom? What is my gender?’ Your gender is, get a job. That’s your gender.”

Barr then paused for her audience to cheer before she continued. “What are they thinking? Ask a – what is a woman? They don’t know that? That one they’re asking all the time. What is a woman? I’ll tell you what a woman is. A woman is me,” she said. “That’s what a woman is, okay? A woman is someone who cleans up everybody else’s shit. That’s what a woman is.”

“A woman is somebody whose boobs hang down to her knees with a prolapsed uterus from giving birth to five ungrateful little privileged bastards that have never had to work for anything in their whole damn life,” she continued. “My pronouns are, kiss my a**!”

Barr was “canceled” back in 2018 when she compared Valerie Jarret, who is black, to a character from the movie Planet Of The Apes in a late-night tweet. Though she immediately apologized and denied knowing that Jarrett was black, Barr was immediately forced off the reboot of Roseanne by the executives at ABC.

“It was a witch-burning,” Barr told the LA Times. “They denied me the right to apologize.” Barr went on to say that she was hated by many liberals for her outspoken support of former President Donald Trump. “Oh my God, they just hated me so badly,” she said. “I had never known that they hated me like that. They hate me because I have talent, because I have an opinion. Even though Roseanne became their No. 1 show, they’d rather not have a No. 1 show.”

“When they killed my character off, that was a message to me – knowing that I’m mentally ill or have mental health issues – that they did want me to commit suicide,” she continued. Barr was referring to the fact that ABC killed off her character on Roseanne and canceled the show before bringing it back with the rest of the cast as The Connors.

Roseanne Barr: Cancel This! aired on Fox Nation, and the comedian spoke about why she decided it was time to return to the stage. “I was not allowed to even apologize for what happened,” Barr said. “I was just, like, blackballed and just totally canceled from even commenting on what happened, so I thought, ‘Well, stand-up is a great place to come back and say what happened and tell the truth about it and also talk about cancel culture itself and how horrible it is and how fascist.”

The conservative star also said other comedians have fallen victim to cancel culture and are trying to tread the rough waters of today’s social climate. “[They] have no livelihood unless they are ridiculously sucking up to what the left considers to be [acceptable],” she said. “The left has no humor at all. They have no sense of humor at all, let’s be real.”
