A video is circulating online which is sure to make you think twice before the next time you take a dip in a public pool. The footage shows what a heavyset woman was caught doing in a busy hotel pool, leaving viewers disgusted.
When staying at a hotel, you can get away with certain things that you wouldn’t normally do at home. For example, you can partake in a midday cocktail without raising any eyebrows, or have dinner delivered straight to your bedroom. However, one woman got far too comfortable when she sat down at a hotel pool.
A video shared on Reddit shows a heavyset female hotel guest using the establishment’s swimming pool to shave her legs, even as children play in the water nearby. The nausea-inducing footage shows the woman in question sitting on the edge of the pool with her feet dangling in the water as she runs the razor up and down her calves.
Surprisingly, none of the other pool guests appear to bat an eye at the woman’s disgusting act, save for the person who filmed the video. While it isn’t known exactly where the footage was captured, the video has gone viral, with viewers in disbelief that someone would actually think shaving their legs in a hotel pool to be appropriate.
Of course, the video elicited no shortage of comments from stunned viewers who couldn’t believe their eyes. “That is so disgusting,” wrote one Reddit user. “Imagine the inadvertent gulp of water that sometimes happens when you’re swimming.. with all the shaved hair in it.”
Others chimed in after having worked at public pools themselves. “I used to lifeguard at a YMCA and saw poop, puke, and a dude bust’n a nut watching an aerobics class so figured I’ve seen it all until this video,” wrote one user. “If public pools have taught me anything, it’s that people are disgusting animals.”
“Yeah I used to work at a public pool and for whatever reason, they attract the worst of humanity. I would never swim in a public pool after that experience,” commented someone else.
“I will never swim in a public pool,” wrote another Reddit user. “I realized one day, long ago that the public pool is just one, giant, cool water bathtub and everyone treats it as such. I’ve never seen such grossery as I have at public pools. I’m even wary of swimming in friend’s pools because I always have to ask myself, ‘Would I take a bath with this person?'”
This commenter makes a good point. Taking a dip in a public pool is akin to taking a bath with a bunch of strangers. That thought is enough to make any even moderately clean person shudder. Thank God for chlorine!
