She Lost 50+ Pounds In 8 Months With 1 Good, Yet Simple Habit

After hitting rock bottom, a woman decided it was time to do something different. She began with one good habit that she hoped would help her feel better physically and mentally. That one simple change resulted in over 50 pounds lost in just 8 months. Now, she wants everyone to know about it.

Dils Lee, a 28-year-old Australian woman who “always struggled” with her weight, felt like she had hit rock bottom in July 2023 when she reached her heaviest weight of 192 pounds. Although she says there’s nothing wrong with being that size and weight, Lee admitted that wearing size 16 clothes at 192 pounds dramatically impacted how she felt physically and mentally.

“It just got to a point where I was sick of waking up and feeling horrible, sore, and uncomfortable in my body,” Lee recalled.

Already feeling bad about her health, Lee knew a change needed to be made when she saw an Instagram post. According to NY Post, the post that would change Lee’s life warned social media users about what could happen if they continued an inactive lifestyle.

“I had seen a post on Instagram that said if you were not an active person but were with a partner that was active, the inactive partner was likely to die seven years before the active partner,” Lee explained. “This really scared me, because my husband is a super fit and active person and I hated the thought of me not being around because I didn’t take care of myself and my body.”

Feeling uncomfortable and in pain at her heaviest weight and knowing it could cut her life short, Lee decided it was time to turn her health around and get her life back. Shockingly, in less than a year, she lost over 50 pounds and has since taken to TikTok to share her stunning weight-loss transformation, which started with just one good habit.

With her moods low and her body feeling sluggish and rundown, Lee admits that she didn’t know where to start. However, desperate to shed the weight, she decided to make a change and simply began walking with a friend during their coffee runs rather than sitting at the cafe, which paid off. The Australian woman noticed a huge change.

“I genuinely feel that this completely altered my mindset and approach to weight loss,” Lee explained to News.com.au. “Not just to look better, but to be healthy, and be alive as long as possible with my husband.”

Because of that one simple change, Lee very quickly began to fall in love with exercise. She not only began losing weight, but before long, she developed a desire for movement and started attending fitness HIIT classes five times a week.

“I started walking most mornings with my friend to get a coffee,” Lee said. “I really loved it. Then one day, while we got a coffee on our walk, we met some people that had just finished a HIIT gym class next door and they suggested that we come along,” she added. “We took them up on the offer. After my free trial, I signed up and would go multiple times a week, I absolutely loved it.”

After a free trial, Lee was hooked. She signed up, explaining that the trainer “made it feel like a community” and saying that she was having “so much fun.” But, not only was she having a good time, she was getting results. In fact, in her first six months, Lee dropped 37 pounds. Unfortunately, she eventually hit a plateau and felt like she was unable to lose any more weight, but she wasn’t deterred from her goals.

Unwilling to give up, Dils Lee contacted a nutritionist, who helped her prioritize her nutrition goals with a low-carb, high-protein diet. With this change and sticking to a calorie deficit, she managed to drop even more weight. In just 8 months, she was down an incredible 53 pounds and three dress sizes. After achieving the toned physique of her dreams, the Australian wants to share her success story with the world.

Although Dils Lee has grown to have a multifaceted approach to her health transformation, it all started by taking that first step and making that first change, which happened to be as simple as a daily walk. All too often, people desiring to lose weight make too many drastic changes all at once, only to find their new plan too difficult to stick to. However, when you introduce one lifestyle change at a time, you create healthy habits you can continue.
