Alvina Rayne was in an abusive relationship with a man who called her a “fat piece of garbage” that no one would want. The mother-of-two weighed 274 pounds and found the courage to use her boyfriend’s cruelty to transform herself, then she got the ultimate revenge.
Alvina Rayne was trapped in an abusive cycle. Her boyfriend would constantly fat-shame the young mother, causing her to overeat. To deal with his hurtful words, Alvina would eat 5,000 calories per day, including Taco Bell fast food dinners, two bowls of sugary cereal, and snacks.
High blood pressure, prediabetes, polycystic ovarian syndrome, left ventricular hypertrophy, and significant anxiety plagued the Pennsylvania mother. Rayne revealed that her boyfriend was still manipulating her, but she was so depressed that she couldn’t bring herself to leave him.
However, after years of struggle and abuse, something inside Rayne finally clicked. The Philadelphia mom summoned all of her strength to finally dump her boyfriend. “I remember my ex telling me that if I left him ‘no one would want me’ and that I was ‘worthless, ugly and would never lose the weight even if I tried,'” she explained.
“He used to say I was an ‘ugly, fat piece of garbage and lot of other vile things that would leave me emotionally eating more and more,” she added. “After years of putting up with the abuse and being isolated from everyone by him, something had to change and it got to a point where I finally told him to get out of my life, forever.”
Rayne described how she changed her life and has never looked back. “I switched to a low-carb keto diet, sticking to 75% healthy fats, 20% proteins, and 5% carbs, and quickly started to lose a lot of weight,” she explained. “Whenever I was struggling, I would remember him telling me ‘no one will want you’ and that I was ‘fat’ which made me even more determined to prove him wrong,” she said.
“After losing the weight I saw my ex’s mom and she was shocked at my transformation and she told him how much I had changed,” Rayne added. She lost a whopping 130 pounds, and her ex contacted her in an attempt to get her back. “Later my ex called to tell me ‘I heard you put on some hotness‘ and tried to get me back,” she shared. “But there’s no way that would ever happen, I’m happier than I’ve ever been in my life and don’t want anything to do with him ever again.
Alvina Rayne had an additional surprise for her ex-boyfriend. “Now he’s eating his words that I’d be ‘alone forever and unhappy’ because I’m happily married to a man who treats me like gold and loves me,” she declared. Her transformation was dramatic, not only on the outside but also on the inside.
She claims that the diet has even helped to reverse a number of her health issues that had been tied to obesity. “When I was severely overweight I had very high blood pressure, the beginnings of type 2 diabetes, polycystic ovary syndrome, left ventricular hypertrophy, severe anxiety & panic attacks,” she said. “Now they are all gone after nearly seven years of keto which makes me feel great.”
The Pennsylvania mom will never forget how far she has come on her incredible journey. “I was so overweight that I would get out of breath after climbing one flight of stairs,” she said. “It was hard to motivate myself to get up and do anything with my life from the emotional pain of the mentally abusive relationship.”
Alvina Rayne decided to use her experience to help other people who suffer from severe obesity. “Now I want to use my YouTube channel to give people hope that no matter what’s happened to them in the past, they can have a new future,” she declared. “I want others to know that they can start their life completely over, you don’t have to stay where you are, it’s so powerful to realize that you are in control of your body and life.”
