Joy Behar was back in the headlines over her strange response about her “vagina” during a live TV broadcast of “The View.” Her comment was deemed “not safe for work.”
Joy Behar has a reputation for speaking her mind before filtering out remarks that might be deemed inappropriate for live TV. That’s precisely what happened during a live taping of The View when Whoopi Goldberg seemingly gave her cohost a “compliment.”
According to reports, Goldberg stopped herself from introducing the first Hot Topics segment and turned her attention to Behar’s wardrobe choice for the day. “Oh, wait a minute. Before we do that, I want to point out one more thing,” Goldberg said, turning to Behar. “Pop pop fizz fizz, oh what a relief it is.”
Goldberg was referring to Behar’s pink pantsuit. Behar quickly caught on to the reference to her Pepto Bismol “look of the year,” asking, “You looking at me?” to which Goldberg joked, “I am. I feel better. My stomach just settled down.” Co-host Sunny Hostin added, “You know what it is? I guess I’ve been sitting next to you for five or six years. All black. She’s, like, in mourning every single day.”
Behar then admitted that the lady who does their wardrobe is sick of the “all black” looks, so “now she’s been Pepto Bismoling it up.” Sensing Behar wasn’t amused, Goldberg tried to diffuse the situation by paying Behar a compliment, saying ever since they started back on their new season, Behar has had a “glow.”
However, Goldberg made the mistake of following that compliment up with: “Are you pregnant?” That’s when Behar responded with a strange remark: “There’s a light in my vagina. I don’t know. And it’s emanating through my entire being.” Behar’s vagina remark was deemed “not safe for work” by the media outlet Decider, and that wasn’t the only reason the ABC talk show was making headlines. In fact, The View was coming under fire after Georgia politician Stacey Abrams made an appearance.
“The View” praised Georgia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams for not conceding her election in 2018 as she defended her claim that she “won” her race against Republican Gov. Brian Kemp, Fox News reported. “I have never denied that I lost,” Abrams said, appearing to contradict herself on The View. “I don’t live in the governor’s mansion. I would have noticed.”
Abrams went on to explain to the cohosts that when she repeatedly said she “won” it really wasn’t contesting the election. “There is this clip that’s going around, and it shows me saying that we won, and what I was referring to was that we won in terms of communities that were long left out of the electoral process finally participating in ’18 in outstanding numbers,” she said. However, there was a backlash by reporters and social media users who claim Abrams, along with the hosts of The View, aren’t being truthful.
“The View not only allows Stacey Abrams to gaslight about the 2018 election, but they ‘applaud’ her for it,” Twitchy reported. Nick Fondacaro, the associate editor at Newsbusters, also weighed in. “[Sunny Hostin] praised Abrams for how she ‘didn’t traditionally concede’ to Kemp in 2018, adding that she ‘appreciated’ it because Abrams ‘cited voter suppression,'” he wrote. “The failed gubernatorial candidate was allowed to lie and explain away a video of her falsely claiming she won the election .”

“Election Denial is fine when the Left does it,” Maria Romano posted about Abrams. “Just like rioting is, just like election-tampering is, just like racism is, and just like everything else they accuse Conservatives of. It’s okay when THEY do it!” In 2019, Abrams addressed a crowd at the annual convention of the Rev. Al Sharpton’s National Action Network and said, “despite the final tally and the inauguration [of Gov. Brian Kemp] and the situation we find ourselves in, I do have a very affirmative statement to make: We won.”
“Concession needs to say something is right and true and proper,” Abrams said at the time. “You can’t trick me into saying it was right.” Additionally, she told the New York Times in 2019 that she stood by her claim of having “won” despite not being governor. Once again, The View is in the news for inappropriate statements and political controversy, and no one can deny it continues to grab the attention of many Americans, who either love or hate the celebrity hosts of the ABC talk show. There doesn’t seem to be any in-between.
